Heat is the worst stress on LEDs.
Placed in hot conditions, the lifetime of LEDs is reduced. Fortunately, the sauna is used for short periods at a time, so the life expectancy of LEDs in sauna use is still very long. Since there are no specific heat-resistant LEDs, other means must be used: by limiting the current, by insulating the LED from the heat of the environment and by conducting heat to solid conductors. In the heat-protected LED series, each LED unit is indeed a genuine heated LED, with a glass lens (now available with two different lenses) in a front waterproof body. There is no need to buy a separate heating lens for these sets, as all units have them ! (This is a daily enquiry, as our prices are even less than half of what you are used to) An air gap is left between the LED and the lens to protect the LED. The operating temperature of the LED is several degrees cooler than without the lens. In addition to the technical features of the heat-shielded LED series, replacement of correctly installed LEDs is easy for years of maintenance.
Our colour changes
Five shade options: LV2: Warm white = colour temperature close to that of a halogen lamp, ~3000 K. LV3: Slightly whiter warm white approx. 3300-3500 K. LV4: Still warm white, but cooler shade, approx. 4000 K. LV1: Yellowish white= yellowish, similar to a low wattage light bulb, approx. 2700 K. VV1: Cool white = colour temperature 6000-10000 K.
The thermally protected LED kits are delivered ready to install, including LEDs, thermally protected LED frames, 5 m of wiring for each LED, connectors and a standard or optional mains power supply, you can choose the type of power supply from the menu, as well as other features or accessories.
- The standard power supply is a socket model 12 V. All LED dimmers are suitable.
- Another option is the 12-volt IP-67 “stick”, which is suitable for installation almost anywhere, including behind panels. All secondary 12-volt LED dimmers are suitable.
- Adjustable power supply with a standard filament bulb bulb, output voltage 12 V. By connecting the mains voltage via a standard incandescent lamp dimmer (so-called triac regulator), you can dim the LED array to the desired brightness from 0-100%. LED dimmers on the secondary side are not used with this power supply.
On large sets (24 and above) a potentiometer is a bit of a poor solution for dimming, an electronic regulator (=pwm regulator) will always work.
The LED front identifiers are sized to suit the network device selected in the order. Also available e.g. suitable for solar power (approx. 14 V) without the need for a mains adapter.
There are no plans to install any electrical appliances in the sauna. No electronic dimmers either. With the exception of the ceilings, other equipment will be installed in cooler areas.

Product development
21.5.2014 THE WORLD’S BEST INNOVATION IN SAUNA LED LIGHTS SINCE 2007, when we launched all-lens LED lights at an affordable price. Now you can choose a wider-angle, softer light instead of the narrow-angle light of a traditional bulb lens. The wide-angle lenses are supplied separately packaged with the series, so you can, for example. install a narrower light beam on the heater coming from further away and a wider “general light” on the others. Note! A narrow beam will naturally look brighter than a wide one, but the light will not be as glaring. However, the light output is exactly the same, it’s just spread over a larger area. The lens change can be done on previously purchased and installed LEDs, for a small amount of money and with a little work. You don’t even have to remove the LED body, just unscrew the ring around the lens, remove the sealing ring and lens, drop the wide angle lens on the bottom of the ring, put the sealing ring in place and screw the ring back on the body. The whole job takes half a minute per LED frame.
